LHE are providing civil engineering design and structural engineering advisory services for a large urban regeneration project in Portsmouth. Seeking to deliver over 500 new homes, retail and community facilities and an adaptable mix of employment space.
With a highly constrained site, close collaboration of engineering, architectural, planning and construction teams has been essential to develop an attractive and viable proposal.
Alongside our infrastructure design, our structural work has focussed on strategic early input, to maximise opportunities for modern methods of construction, reducing building weights, embodied carbon, and re-use of existing assets. This adds value to the development for the local authority and development partners in delivery, and over the entire project life-cycle.
